Kyle B. Vincent, MD General Surgeon

Dr. Kyle B. Vincent is a general surgeon practicing with Wichita Surgical Specialists. He has a special interest in complex foregut, including paraesophageal and hiatal hernias and esophageal surgery.

Born in Oklahoma, Dr. Vincent received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City and completed his general surgery residency at the Orlando Health Department of General Surgery in Orlando, Florida.

“My mother was a nurse, and from an early age I was fascinated with healthcare,” Dr. Vincent said. “This fostered a love of math and science in school. My grandfather died of lung cancer when I was a teenager, and that solidified and focused my desire to become a physician.”

Dr. Vincent said he originally went to medical school thinking he wanted to be a family physician. “I quickly realized that surgeons do what I thought family doctors did – get a problem and fix it!”

According to Dr. Vincent, Wichita Surgical Specialists has the best of the best surgeons in the region. “Each surgeon has a niche or things they accel at which lets patients get the best care for their condition,” he said. “With so many surgeons specializing in different areas, we can make a real impact on the health of the community.”

Outside of work, Dr. Vincent has two boys that keep him busy. He also has a private pilot license and loves to fly every chance he gets.
